New Senior Living Development Breaks Ground in Plymouth

The Waters Senior Living, a leading owner and operator of senior living communities in the Twin Cities, broke ground Sept. 26 on its newest senior living community located at Highway 55 and County Road 73/South Shore Drive in Plymouth. Speakers at the event included Plymouth Mayor Kelli Slavik and Waters Senior Living Senior Developer Kathleen Conlan Joyce.

"We are thrilled to begin construction on a future anchor for the Plymouth community," said Joyce. "Our focus on wellness will be an asset the greater community. As one of the first in the state to partner with the University of Minnesota’s Center of Spirituality and Wellness, we’ll have access to new therapies for senior-related health issues."

The Waters Senior Living’s wellness initiative revolves around engaging the six dimensions of a person; social, intellectual, emotional, physical, vocational and spiritual.

The Waters of Plymouth will open in August 2013 and offer senior living with services, assisted living and memory care. Studio, one and two bedroom rental apartments will be available in addition to a full spectrum of health and personal care services. Other amenities include a wellness and fitness center, day spa, and spiritual center, full-service dining rooms, a creative arts studio, bistro, library, and underground heated parking. The project will create over 100 jobs.

The community already has waiting list. Seniors and their families can call 763-210-3983 or visit http://www.thewatersofplymouth.com.
